Apple confirmed today that Iphone 5 will not be compatible with the micro-SIM cards found in the older Iphone models. The handset uses the nano-SIM cards.
The company introduced the Iphone 5 earlier today. The new device has a 4-inch display and a thinner frame than the Iphone 4/4S.
Many businesspersons we contacted in Haiti are enthusiastic to purchase the Iphone 5, unfortunately they will have hold their excitement.
« At this moment the Iphone 5 is not yet compatible with the Digicel Haiti network largely because this handset uses a nano-SIM which has not yet been introduced to our network » stated Marckens Armony , public relation manager at Digicel Haiti.
Digicel has not specified a release date for the nano-SIM cards.
